ERIE, Pennsylvania - June 17, 2016 - Kane Innovations Project Manager, Jason R. Kelley, has recently received Six Sigma Black Belt certification through the Management and Strategy Institute (MSI).  Mr. Kelley has been independently working toward attaining this certification since the summer of 2015.

The Six Sigma program is a widely respected certification not only within the manufacturing sector, but within a variety of other industries such as banking, the military, air travel and retail.  The goal is to educate students on how to eliminate defects in virtually any business process, while providing them with the tools they need to execute projects and implement improvements in their professional careers.

The typical Black Belt course consists of a two-to-three-week, in-classroom instructional period.  Although the duration was slightly longer than normal, Kelley was able to complete his coursework remotely with MSI's online option.

Kelley said that Six Sigma has changed his perspective for the better.

"Six Sigma truly alters the way you look at situations.  The knowledge I've gained through my training has inspired me to invent creative new ways to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability at Kane Innovations," said Kelley. "I'm excited to apply the principals I've learned over these last few months to my daily work life and my professional career as a whole."

Jason R. Kelley, a U.S. Army veteran, has been employed with Kane Innovations since May of 2014.  He is working toward his B.S. in Management from University of Phoenix and resides in Erie, Pennsylvania with his daughter.
