The Edgewater Hotel

FOR RAILING RETROFITS ON REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, STERLING DULA IS AN INDUSTRY “GO-TO”.

It’s no secret that historic hotel renovations and additions require the use of classic, yet chic, design elements and decor.  The same holds true for architectural railing; the same type of railing which adorns The Edgewater, a newly-refurbished 4-star hotel, located in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin.

For the past six and half decades, The Edgewater Hotel has operated as a prominent fixture in downtown Madison, offering top-notch accommodations and service to visitors from all over the world; from business people and university faculty, to more well-known guests, such as Elvis and the Dalai Lama.

For a look that was timeless, not antiquated, Sterling Dula’s combination of spartan bronze powder-coated infill and pearlescent gold top rail did the trick – and made for a striking color pairing to boot.  The beautiful, custom panel designs, first imagined by the architects at Elkus Manfredi, were brought to life by Sterling Dula’s expert engineers, fabricators and, of course, the in-house waterjet-cutting machine.

Featuring raked, radiused and straight railing orientations, this Sterling Dula custom system is featured on The Edgewater’s stairs, terraces and balconies, serving as a daily visual treat for both guests and staff.
