Over 3,000 lft of Sterling Dula Handrail to Adorn Accotink Village Apartments in Virginia
ERIE, Pennsylvania – November 9, 2015 – A 283-unit apartment development in Fairfax County, Virginia, will soon feature 3,905 lineal feet of Sterling Dula brand railing from architectural product manufacturer, Kane Innovations. The multifamily mixed-use property, named Accotink Village, will also include 10,000 square feet of retail space and a 9,700 square foot clubhouse amenity.
Accotink Village, designed by JDavis Architects, follows closely behind two other Sterling Dula railing installations in the mid-atlantic region, comparable in both size and style: the 338-unit 1901 South Charles and The Winthrop, a 295-unit residential complex. A combined total of 5,000 lineal feet of railing was used on the Maryland properties, also drafted by JDavis. Kane Innovations was awarded the $500,000 contract for Accotink in mid-October, subsequent to achieving great success with the two previous installations.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2016 by Harkins Contracting. The Sterling Dula aluminum Contemporary picket railings – with aluminum juliet balcony floors – will be delivered and installed in the early spring.
