Salamander Resort and Spa

ONCE ARCHITECTS DISCOVER OUR WATERJET-CUTTING CAPABILITIES, THE DESIGN MAGIC BEGINS.

So it was no surprise that a project that originated with an aluminum cast mold of a salamander, resulted in a waterjet-cut horse and rider accent feature on each railing panel.

All 168 of Salamander Resort’s balconies are aluminum Colonial picket railing with a black powder coat paint finish.  The finished product is a stylish design bearing all of the beauty of wrought iron, without any of the corrosive properties; a perfect fit for this 340-acre commercial property in Middleburg, Virginia.

To add to the “horse-farm” feel, a custom accent is nested within each railing panel featuring an equine design, meticulously cut by Sterling Dula’s own waterjet machine.  Picket collars were added for a decorative flair.
